Subject: Ante sew....
Here I am, taking a lunch break from an insane day about meetings about meetings, and I logged on to ethioguide. I love the new short takes. :-)) I felt like I was reading "Talk of the Town" ...... ahhhh nostaligia. But then I ran into the picture (I cannot tell you much I enjoy that feature!!!) of the little boy leading his blind father and uncle... and all of a sudden I am weeping... I mean, bawling!!! I dunno if it's just homesickness, or just imagining this boy's life, and I am sitting here weeping. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy Ethioguide. It is so beautiful to see. That little boy's face is so powerful... his smile!! oh, my god. I feel like we here in the diaspora , especially those in the ET political scence, have much to answer for.... we are so whiny and out of touch.... so many things come to my mind....... no words to say them .... ok... I think I better have a third cup of espresso.... Ciao, and thank you......

I like your site. Specially ADDIS SCENES is very creative. Take the
current picture. It is simple but typical ethiopian Landscape and life
that we grew up in. These people most probably are going to "lekso" but
again that is Ethiopian too.
You are indeed a journalist !!!

Please get rid off the ugly sign from the Ethiopian flag. Use the plain
one. The sign has no historical meaning to Ethiopia except to show the
atrocity of the wayne regime.

You are doing a good job with your page, but you don't seem to
realise your potential as one of the best when it comes to ethio
information.
Please try to invest money and time on your page so ypu can go a long
long way.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely Denekow

I thought your website was well done (technical speaking and
content-wise for the most part). However, I can't help it but point out
your bais in the Ethio-Eritrea conflict. So much so, some of your info
(esp. your FAQ on the Conflict) came straight from the Woyane govt. I
think you are doing a dis-service to your visitors (whom ever they may
be). Furthermore, you tarnish your own credibility for something that
does not directly involve you. There is always to sides to a story. I
have yet to find a single website that can actually explain to the world
what the Ethio-Eritrea conflict is about with out being very bais to one
side.

I just want to let you know that your website and its contents are the
best I have seen so far. A friend of mine suggested that I visit your
site to easily access the other Ethiopian and major news outlet sites a
few weeks ago and, boy do I wish i had known about you a little
earlier. You are doing a wonderful job and as a Ethiopian, I am proud
and grateful of your effort. Thank You and God bless.

Dear Sirs,
Are you in some way affiliated with the bbc, a broadcaster not known for
it's objectivity when it comes to reporting about Africa, and even worse
about Ethiopia ?
You display most of the time articles from the bbc, are you sure that is
what Ethiopians like to read ?
Most Africans seem to have learned in the meantime and I assure you bbc
and similar british broadcasters and papers have no more credibility
among Africans.

I found your site to be very much interesting and useful. It really is
very beautiful and creative. It will be much more intersesting if you add
more pictures and also talk about what is going on in Addis right now-
like what people do for fun, what the present dressing style looks like,
some jokes,........and so on.
Anyways you have created something nice.

Hi Guys,
I don't know who you are but you are doing a blinder. This is definately
the best web site availabe on Ethiopia and I cannot thank you enough. I
specially like the hourly update on the current famine situation.
I just have one question about Ethiopia,
From a mark of 1 to 10, what is the possiblity that the current TPLF
regime might be defeated or severly weakened in the coming election? My
hope is the people back home have finally realised how pathetic the
current govt. is and vote overwhelmingly for the opposition. We live and
hope.
You can reply to me via the above e-mail
Thanks
Long live Ethiopia

Hello there,
I would like to tell you that your web site is the best (Ethiopian) web
site so far. The pages are fast to load and you have a million links.I
like every thing but ONE,Your head line news. Once you post a new head
line it will be there forever. Does it mean that there is no "news" if
there is no "war"? Please change your front page head lines as much as
possible , It is boaring. But the rest,is GREAT!!

Although I did not explore eache category, the ones I did were
excellent. I am accessing it from Addis and I have to say the speed was

me register as a new member otherwise - no complains. Bravo Sam.

Very pleased to revisit this web site. Specifically
for the interview with Haile Girma.
I've tremendous respect for his films and his opinions
but want to advise him that what Peace Corps volunteers
teach is what they are/were told to teach, no more,
no less. And his point of learning one's own history
is well stated and bears repeating! Learn one's own
history!
With respect and regards,
jc ( Joe Ciuffini - returned Peace Corps volunteer, Harrar )

Fine effort. Bravo to you and Jomo for a well designed, and content rich
site.
I must however say that ethioguide.com is better viewed at 1028 x 760
rather than the 800 x 600 screen resolution you suggest. Most web site
are better viewed at the higher number. Anything lower really trashes
ones' screen.
Best of luck to you both

I know how much work goes into building a website,
and I have to say this one looks great. It is up-to-date,
easy to load and resourceful. I'm sure it will easily become
a leader among Ethiopians who surf the web and all those
interested in the subject.
