It was an eventful 2000 in Ethiopia. I arrived in Addis in late February,
and a remarkable series of events began unfolding in the following several months,
including a major threat of famine, a resumption of the Ethio-Eritrean War, a
nationwide election, the most successful Olympic participation for the country
ever, Emperor Haile Selassie's reburial....It went on. Here's a photographic sampling of
the events
