ADWA is a film that documents the victory of Ethiopian patriots
over the invading colonial power of Italy at Adwa, in the northern
part of Ethiopia in 1896. The victory was not only a historical
landmark to Ethiopians, but became a symbol for Pan-Africanism around
the world.
